Grouting – General

With respect to ground improvement in geotechnical engineering, some of the common methods that are being widely used involves displacement, densification, solidification and reinforcement. Among these methods, the soil cement mixing method by combination of mechanical and hydraulic with or without air has been identified as the most efficient and economical method for ground improvement.
Whatever method is employed in cement grouting technique, a special formulated cement-based mix is injected by pressure into the ground to improve its strength or reduce permeability of soil.  It is most commonly performed by drilling holes into the foundation to intercept open cracks, joints, fissures or cavities before carrying out the grouting. Work generally begins with a base mix and is modified during the grouting process with subsequent mixes in order to achieve closure by reducing permeability to a predetermined lugeon value.  Zeox offers not only a wide range of placement techniques for new, remedial or redevelopment applications but also always ensure the proposed cement grouting technologies are feasible, cost-effective and provide permanent solutions for any problem.
